Rachael Sage

Greetings!

Just back from Rachael's full-week run of shows at Edinburgh Fringe: the largest arts festival in the world. Disturbingly, Fringe made Rachael seem downright girl-next-door. Accordingly, now that we know just how well fire-eating, knife-throwing & whip-cracking go over on the High Street we've signed up for several classes at The New School...

Thrill-seeking aside, the shows went stupendously; "Sequins & Shpiel" was extremely well received by local press, and Rachael and her band had a fabulous time site-seeing in Edinburgh and generally soaking up the drizzle. In this newsletter, we're happy to share several new Fringe vlogs, a slew of photos and of course, the latest in News, Shows and general Sage-miscellanea. Cheers, and L'Chaim!

xoxoxo & light,
Rachael & Team MPress

Local Radio Stations Leith FM & Central FM interviewed Rachael and played tracks from her album "Chandelier", while BBC Radio Scotland featured live solo performances of her songs "Angel In My View" & "Lonely Streets" on "The Festival Cafe" show...

Newly-signed MPress artist Seth Glier (who played glockenspiel, kazoo and accordion during Rachael's shows) is also a talented photographer! Check out these photos from Edinburgh Fringe featuring Seth, Rachael, Rachael's percussionist Quinn, her cellist Dave, a few castles, and some kilts.

3. TICKETS ON SALE FOR RACHAEL'S FALL TOUR OF CA: SF, LA, SD & MORE!

It's been a while since Rachael's visited her home-away-from-home (that would be California), and thanks to a lovely invite by forthcoming "New Arrivals" artiste and East Village transplant Katie Costello, Rachael will be heading out West in September to perform a handful of shows in San Francisco, Paso Robles, Hermosa Beach, San Diego and Los Angeles. See below for complete details...

4. MICELLANEOUS MISHUGAS: FRINGE VLOGS, WEBSITE DESIGN & MPRESSFEST CMJ!

For those of you were were unable to hop a flight to Edinburgh, several Episodes of Rachael's Edinburgh Fringe Adventures have been posted to the "Vlogs" section of Rachael's YouTube Channel (there's also been a flurry of Fringe-kibitzing on her Facebook and Twitter pages, so hope you're following!)

Rachael = a web designer! Yes, it's true...the dynamic design-obsessed duo of Rachael & Micah Freedman have teamed up again to redesign MPress Records artist Seth Glier's new website. Featuring beautiful photos by Tom Moore and Bill Bernstein as well as newly-remixed tracks from Glier's forthcoming album "The Trouble With People", it was officially launched on August 7th (the same day as Rachael's Fringe debut; yes, she'll be taking a nap any minute now). Check it out, and enjoy!

Save the date! MPress Records' annual CMJ event has been confirmed, and festivities will be held on October 22nd at one of NYC's most fabulous event spaces, Gallery Bar. This event will also double as our official local release party for Seth Glier's MPress debut release, "The Trouble With People", and will feature live musical performances by artists featured on our "New Arrivals" charity album series!
