2. MPRESS RECORDS SIGNS AWARD-WINNING FOLK-ROCKER MELISSA FERRICK
We're so excited to announce that one of Rachael's very favorite artists, Melissa Ferrick, is now a part of the MPress Records family. Ferrick, who's been tearing up the indie-folk scene for over a decade with her fiercely honest, passionate songs, will be recording tracks for her MPress debut in early 2011. 3. RACHAEL'S CELLIST DAVE EGGAR NOMINATED FOR A GRAMMY®!
Dave Eggar's newest release "Kingston Morning" – produced by Dave Eggar and Chuck Palmer – was nominated for a Grammy® for Best Instrumental Arrangement (category 85, if you're a voting member). The nomination is for a unique classical arrangement of "Itsbynne Reel", a signature song by the late great saxophonist, Michael Brecker.
Dave and Chuck collaborated with legendary jazz arranger Gil Goldstein on this arrangement. If you're a member of NARAS, please consider voting for Dave, who also appears on Rachael's latest album, "Delancey Street" and is a longtime member of her band The Sequins!
4. RACHAEL HELPS PROMOTE LIFEBEAT'S WORLD AIDS DAY BENEFIT AT BORDERS
Earlier this month, LifeBeat presented Rachael & country star/LGBT activist and writer Chely Wright in concert at Borders Kips Bay in NYC. A lively, complimentary double bill, the afternoon was well-attended and audience members also had the chance to meet the artists and have them sign CDs, in the process of supporting AIDS Awareness and LifeBeat. - Speaking of YouTube, we continue to be amazed by how many dance teams are using Rachael's music. So many, in fact, that we've started collecting them on rachaelsage.com! Check them out, and if you know of one we've missed, please let us know about it! (p.s. One of Rachael's biggest dreams is for her music to be used in an ice-skating routine. Just saying.)

This month Rachael will return to the West Coast in support of her current release. She'll be performing in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Seattle, Olympia & Portland.
