1. RACHAEL HITS THE UK AIRWAVES & RELEASES RADIO SINGLE ON iTUNES
Rachael's song "Too Many Women" is currently at radio in the UK! If you live there, please support Rachael by calling your local station & requesting the track! In addition, the single has just been made available on iTunes, where you can download both the original version (from the album "Public Record") as well as the newly remastered radio edit, along with brand new cover art. Woohoo!
2. RACHAEL'S NEW VIDEO FOR "TOO MANY WOMEN" RELEASED TODAY ON YOUTUBE
Directed/edited by documentary filmmaker Eric Metzger and art directed by singer/composer & all-around artiste Noe Venable, Rachael's new video was shot in just a few hours, and was an intentionally minimalistic departure for our otherwise ungapatchked songstress. We hope you enjoy the result as much as we do! Watch the video.
3. TIX ON SALE NOW FOR "TCHATCHKES & LATKES", RACHAEL'S NYC HOLIDAY SHOW, 12/23!
Rachael returns to Joe’s Pub for a special holiday edition of her latest musical mishugas, “Sequins & Shpiel!” (which debuted earlier this year at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to rave reviews). She will weave songs from her eight-album discography with shpiel about her life as a former ballerina, adventures on the road, and her family’s extensive menorah collection. Expect a healthy mix of vaudevillian shtick, playful Yiddishkeit and Rachael’s signature pianistic flair.
“Tchatchkes & Latkes!” will also feature several special guests including cellist Dave Eggar (Coldplay, The Who), percussionist Quinn (Tracy Chapman, Marshall Crenshaw), and YouTube singing sensation Michelle Citrin (“Rosh Hashanah Girl”, “Pass The Candle”). Purchase tickets!

Rachael has received 5 OUTMusic Award Nominations, including OUTSTANDING POP SONG ("Too Many Women"), OUTSTANDING FOLK/COUNTRY SONG ("Hunger In John"), OUTSTANDING JAZZ SONG ("Site-Seeing"), OUTSTANDING PRODUCER ("Vertigo"), and OUTSTANDING SONGWRITER ("Chandelier"). Congratulations to all the nominees, including our friends Ari Gold, Athena Reich and Avi Wisnia! 6. UPCOMING SHOWS: CLUB PASSIM (BOSTON), BEST BUY (NYC) & JOE'S PUB (NYC)!
For all you East Coasters, Rachael will be making a handful of Holiday musical appearances. Firstly, just before Thanksgiving she'll be performing in Boston - along with her talented labelmate Seth Glier - at one of her favorite listening rooms, Club Passim. Then in mid-December Rachael will do a special in-store daytime performance at NYC's Best Buy, woohoo! Finally, Rachael & The Sequins will close out 2009 with a wacky musical extravaganza at Joe's Pub, replete with seasonal attire, surprise guests, and perhaps even some light Hanukah fare (oh wait, that's an oxymoron).
