1.RACHAEL INVITED TO OPEN FOR HER FAVORITE SINGER-SONGWRITER, MARC COHN Last weekend, Rachael was invited at the last minute to open for her longtime favorite artist, Marc Cohn, in Milwaukee at the Pabst Theater. Introduced by one of Sage's most loyal radio supporters, DJ Bruce Winter of WUWM, the show took place on Saturday, October 3rd in a gorgeous venue replete with what Rachael described as "the most stunning chandelier I've ever seen..." True to his reputation as not only a gifted musician and witty live performer but also a down-to-earth mensch, Marc Cohn generously invited Rachael to share the stage and sing background vocals on two of his songs. Accompanying Marc was Shane Fontayne, an incredible guitarist and vocalist who was equally warm and made Rachael feel right at home on the gig. Thanks to Marc, Shane, Bruce @ WUWM & everyone at the Pabst theater - and stay tuned to RachaelSage.com for photos & video from the show!
2. RACHAEL'S SONG "TOO MANY WOMEN" IN "FAME", OUT NOW Rachael's song "Too Many Women", from her album "Public Record", currently appears on the "FAME" soundtrack as well as in the film itself. Please support Rachael by going to see the movie - in theaters worldwide - and by spreading the word about the soundtrack, which features Megan Mullally, Naturi Naughton & Sam Sparro. Woohoo!

The entire event takes place from 7-11pm, and includes artists from our "New Arrivals" charity compilation series - Mieka Pauley, Seth Glier - as well as very special guests Antigone Rising and Amber Rubarth; details at MPressRecords.com, or view the ecard. 5. RACHAEL'S MPRESS-MATE SETH GLIER UNVEILS NEW ALBUM ON iTUNES, 10/06 Seth Glier, who signed to MPress earlier this year, will be releasing his album "The Trouble With People" digitally on iTunes this week. Remixed by Kevin Killen (Elvis Costello, Tori Amos) and John Shyloski (Johnny Winter, Stephen Kellogg), the album was produced by Glier and his guitarist, Ryan Hommel. At only 19 years old, Glier caught Rachael's attention at a show last fall in New Hampshire, where Glier's prodigious songwriting, piano chops and overall charisma led Sage to "want to sign him on the spot!" Learn more about Seth and hear soundclips at www.sethglier.com.
