1. DESIGNER LORIS DIRAN TO HOST RACHAEL AT "FASHION'S NIGHT OUT" EVENT, SEPT. 8!
Rachael is extremely honored to be performing at the brilliant NYC-based designer Loris Diran's "Fashion's Night Out" party, on 9/8 at 7 pm! One of Rachael's very favorite designers, Loris is a staggeringly talented Renaissance man who has also had successful careers as an actor and singer (with appearances on Broadway & in the original movie "Fame"!). 2. RACHAEL TO APPEAR WITH EMBER SWIFT IN MA, CT, RI & PA
Rachael will be sharing the stage at a handful of upcoming shows with one of her very favorite artists, the beautiful and insightful Ember Swift. Ember, who hails from Canada originally, writes fierce, funky groove-folk-pop; but she also brings in eclectic World influences and sings in French and Chinese! 3. MPRESS RECORDS OFFICIAL CMJ DAY PARTY: OCT. 21st @ ROCKWOOD (NYC)
MPress Records, Rockwood Music Hall & CMJ present "MPressFest 2011" at one of our favorite NYC venues, Rockwood Music Hall. The entire lineup will be officially announced soon, but will highlight artists from MPress' "New Arrivals" Charity Compilation series including: Rachael Sage & The Sequins, Seth Glier, and Alex Wong. The event will take place on Oct. 21st from 2-5pm & is FREE, so c'mon down & help us celebrate the precious existence of College Radio, where Rachael first got her start as a DJ many years ago!! Keep your eyes peeled to the MPress Records website for updates...

5. RACHAEL'S 10TH ALBUM "HAUNTED BY YOU" NEARLY COMPLETE!
As most of you probably know, between various tours & assorted other endeavors, Rachael has been steadily chipping away at her tenth album. Here's some good news, from her own glittery lips: "I'm incredibly excited about this record...I think the songs are among my strongest yet, and I'm so lucky to have been able to collaborate with some insanely talented musicians." Produced by Rachael & recorded by John Shyloski, the album contains over a dozen original tracks including live favorites "Hey Nah", "Invisible Light", "Everything", "Abby" and "Haunted By You" (all of which she played acoustic guitar on, woohoo!).
Confirmed guests on the record include Seth Glier (vocals/organ), Katie Costello (vocals), Ryan Hommel (guitar), Kelly Halloran (violin), Jack Petruzelli (guitar), James Mastro (guitar), Mark Bosch (guitar), Walter Parks (vocals/guitar), Mike Visceglia (bass), Doug Yowell (drums) and of course, Rachael's ongoing collaborators & beloved members of The Sequins: Dave Eggar (cello), Quinn (drums), and Russ Johnson (trumpet). The album will be mixed and mastered later this Fall, and is tentatively scheduled for a March 2012 U.S. release.
6. RACHAEL'S 2012 TOUR: HOST A HOUSE CONCERT!
We've just started mapping out Rachael's 2012 CD Release tour, and we'd love to come through your town/city & make sure you have the opportunity to see Rachael live! One of Rachael's very favorite settings in which to perform are at House Concerts. In her own words: "I've played a lot of really big festivals and venues over the years, from hundreds to thousands of people. Of course I love all those gigs and they can be really exciting in an adrenaline sort of way...but I actually prefer the intimacy of performing in smaller settings."
Have you ever thought about hosting a House Concert, but not known quite how to make it happen? Well, now's your chance! We'll do our absolute best to bring Rachael through on her upcoming CD Release Tour - especially if you promise to let us decorate your living room with feather boas!
