New York, NY - May 16, 2018 - East Village-based mixed-media artist Rachael Sage will be showing her latest artworks from now through June 23rd at Think Gallery (1 Bleecker St. near Bowery) NYC. The gallery will also be presenting a special reception for Sage’s new work on May 30th, where fans can meet the artist, have a free glass of wine and ask questions in an intimate, casual atmosphere. Sage primarily paints with acrylics, fabric paints and watercolors, often incorporating diverse materials such as sequins, rhinestones, glitter and newspaper.

"Myopia" by Rachael Sage

Sage, who is also a poet and musician who’s released thirteen albums via her own label MPress Records, names Keith Haring, Miro, Chagall and Andy Warhol among her visual influences. She is known for her unique drawing style, dense, colorful paintings and glittery, fabric-painted wearable art (which often doubles as stage-wear for her performances). She has shown work twice prior at Think Gallery, including her 2016 collection of Fashion Week-inspired paintings and fabric-painted jackets, jeans and dresses.

Sage's brand new vision-themed album Myopia was released earlier this month via MPress Records and is available on Spotify, iTunes and Amazon. For more information and to view samples of her artwork, visit http://rachaelsage.com/artwork
